Pembina Pipeline Corp (Pembina) is a Canada-based energy transportation and midstream service provider. Pembina owns an integrated network of hydrocarbon liquids and natural gas pipelines, gas gathering and processing facilities, oil and natural gas liquids infrastructure and logistics services, and an export terminals business. It operates through three segments: Pipelines, Facilities and Marketing & New Ventures. The Pipelines segment provides customers with pipeline transportation, terminalling, storage and rail services in key market hubs in Canada and the United States for crude oil, condensate, natural gas liquids and natural gas. I personally think it was a good move to write it off. It doesn't necessarily mean that it won't eventually get done. There's now no pressure one way or the other.

I also thought it was a good move to clean up the books and write a few other things off (like Jordan Cove) all in one big scoop. I actually never did like JC and it always seemed just a carry-over from Versen.

As an aside, even with their recent stock price increases, I still think the midstreameres are going to do very well in 2021.
