Just my luck

Bought shares before XDiv and then the SP drops. Lol!  I'll blame it on the price of oil going down but not what that has to do with PPL. Lower price should increase demand unless you factor in the Liberal A'hole gas tax.

Great day to buy if you have been waiting for an entry point. PPL is doing just fine and today you get to buy it before it goes ExDiv. Oil prices will bounce and then PPLs share price will bounce plus you get the divvy.

I bought 500 shares in my TFSA but at 55 years old and hopefully have another 20 years left and not looking for that quick score seems like an alright purchase with dividend.

Have no fear ...Pipeline stocks and midstream s like PPL are just fine. Biden has stopped new ones from being built and volumes will be solid in existing ones. Oil is only down because of this "third wave" news but shots/needles are getting into arms in most countries and oil gas demand will be fine. A sustainable 7% dividend is just tasty as can be too. PPL is a great stock to own right ...more

Yes Sir, my favourite stock as well I own a fair bit and add from time to time Compared to a bank GIC there is no contest when it comes to yield Plus, you pay less tax on dividends compared to bank interest of equal value The Future is Friendly for PPL owners

Thanks guys. I'vve been in the markets since 1999 and even though I work I've learned to trade stocks and was briefly taking trades for a Financial Inst. Now I'm older and establishing a retirement protfolio but the debt of governments and more debt coming means inflation and may signal a crash as well.
