RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Conflict of interest more disturbing than poor performance I appreciate that. As I said previously, I have not been an active poster for years and my previous ID had been deactivated by Stockhouse. It's as simple as that.
I was aware of Angus Ventures a couple of years ago - I regularly check what the c-suite of companies I invest in report on Sedi. I did think it funny that Palmer, Langlois and Sokalsky were looking to enter the cannabis space. When it didn't work out, I did not give it much more thought but kept it on my watchlist to see what they would do. With it being so tightly held, thought it might be a good opportunity when they did the qualifying transaction in the resource sector and subsequently moved the share price up.
That was it until I got a call last week from another investor that I have spoken with for years. There is a group of us that stay in close contact. I had not read the proxy materials yet; was going to go over everything prior to voting. What he said to me raised alarm bells and prompted me to do research; some of which I shared here.
The fact that I posted at all should tell you how disturbed I was by what I found.
The management works for us. They are responsible to us. They need to address these concerns and appropriate action needs to be taken. They are a little too quick to richly reward themselves without appropriate merit and through their greed dilute shareholders.
While I made money, I was not impressed with the deal with Goldcorp and suspect that management, when the time comes, will again accept a takeover deal that they deem "good enough". The institutional holders will be happy with the fees they were paid over the years and the 20-30% premium that will be offered; management will be happy with what their padded positions yield for them. They have been paid handsomely over the years to get results - in my opinion they have fallen short in their efforts with Probe Metals. They are under pressure and know they have fallen short. To have so brazenly set up another company that in essence has been paid for by Probe Metals; with full time Probe employees devoting the time that belongs to US is morally reprehensible and a gross disservice to Probe shareholders.
