Point of interest re AGM call - potential name changeOne of the first questions was why doesn't Probe change its name to Probe Gold to reflect what they do - exploring for gold. The answer was that there was an established brand with Probe Metals. I think "Probe" is the established brand, but whatever.
What I found interesting is that Angus has a a mandate to change its name to Angus Gold in their information Circular. I guess they want to make sure their target audience finds them, lol. Learning from mistakes in Probe Metals, no doubt.
8. Approval of Name Change At the Meeting, the holders of Common Shares will be asked to consider, and if thought advisable, to approve a special resolution in the form set out below to change the name of the Company from "Angus Ventures Inc." to "Angus Gold Inc.”, or to such name as may be determined by the Board, in its sole discretion, within twelve (12) months from the date of such approval. The Company is seeking to adopt the name "Angus Gold Inc." to better reflect the Company’s current operations (the "Name Change"). The current name reflects the Company's past activities and as such, the proposed name, "Angus Gold Inc.", more closely aligns the Company in the space which it currently operates with the vision to create value for Shareholders. As part of the Name Change, the Company will not be changing its stock symbol from “GUS”. The Name Change will remain subject to TSX-V approval. Here is the link to their circular.
