Yes it’s better to Build a New Mine
This is the opinion of Rio Tinto's head of its copper
mining operations to develop a new mine by a margin of
3 to 1 as opposed to
an acquisition of a mine.
IMO in Probe Gold's case at current gold prices it's
more in the range of 6.5- 7.0 to 1.
This is despite the fact new mines have higher capex .
