TakeoversSad to say that shareholders often hope for takeovers because of this system that offers a temporary reward to sh. The truth is that right now PRU is as free from vampirism as is possible in a very tricky market. Not only is it making money but it is building it's resource base and is a very progressive company. I'd love to see it remain independent and continue to grow as it is. Small is beautiful...homogeneity with ongoing consolidation just makes for more slavery. There are only a handful of corporations who have taken over everything...That's a very oppressive impact on everyone...controlled and stifling.
