RE:Tax Consequences from CNQ Spinout

RE:Tax Consequences from CNQ Spinout
I don't think they were assigned any capital cost at all.  Mine certainly weren't - they were given as return of capital. Drives me nuts - now I have 6 shares I have to get rid of at whatever the market will bear and paying the trading house's commission on a special sale.   May as well have thrown the money in the garbage can.

I've got a lump of coal ready for these b**t*ards for their Christmas stocking - what a shitty way of distributing assets without regard for the interests of ordinary retail shareholders who provided their ready liquidity and share interest all these years.
