Makedonka...

Funny to see that you are more interested in discussing me than the charges now being levelled against PennWest (Obsidian) by the SEC. Personally, I believe that most readers on this SH board want to read and talk about PWT and the SEC instead!
Having said that, I have explained myself many times on this board and others that the lawsuit against me and I believe 8 other posters by St. Elias Mines went nowheres! If you believe otherwise, then so be it! As for where I live, Nova Scotia is my home. Again, so what?
Finally, someone and it may in fact have been you has suggested that the SEC has an agenda. I concur with that statement. But I also believe that there will be more charges by the SEC against individuals and companies who were not involved with the PennWest accounting scandal, but were involved in their own scams of declaring Operating Expenses as Capital Expenses.
The important take-away from today's news is this, why did the accounting firm not pick this up when they did their yearly audits of PennWest's financials?

Nothing new here, the lawsuit is against two former employees and one of them has already settled the case. The ...more

Very good article in today's G&M concerning the SEC charges against PennWest. What is even more interesting is the ASC's stance by disagreeing with the SEC's alleged misdeeds of PennWest. I have been saying for years that the ASC has not been properly protecting investors and now the SEC has clearly come to the same conclusion by charging PennWest for fraud, while the ASC ...more
