nat gas is easy to find in colombia, proximity to

conference call. They had the head of ecopetrol their an everything. This was last year before the first of the failed BIG E (exploration/dry hole program.) What ever happened to the 3rd big E well ...more

That's the nature of exploring! 1 in 10 , can  e expected ! Adding up all the exploration costs against one producer often times makes it a losing game!

these Big E exploration wells. Think they are O of 6  over the last couple of years.  The Big Miss exploration wells might be more apprapos.

as in, his picks like BTE, CPG and PD, don't take into account you would have to apply their estimated free cashflow for approx the next 3 years to eliminated debt, while companies like PXT, PHX ...more

I fully understand the concept of stock buybacks, but the point was..the company seems to get no credit for doing them, and for having no debt, over several years now.

buying back stock at such a huge discount (4 x P/E) will enable PXT to pay higher dividends in the future.  They should do a Dutch Tender for 10% of the company like GPRK
