Why would they want to buyout HPQ? HPQ manufactures and sells silicone. PYR designs and manufactures plasma torch systems. Two totally different businesses. Now if pyrogenesis additive is ever spun off I could see a buyout/merger between those two companies. Much better synergies there.
But the biggest reason pyr wouldnt buyout hpq is because they get a 10% royalty on sales.... Why would you want to give that up? Its free money!!
Breizh1... Thank you so much for your brilliant counter arguements to the points I have made. I really didn't see the point of doing the math as a 10% royalty on sales should be an obvious reason not to buyout a company. 2nd they are 2 completely different types of businesses. pyr sold the PUREVAP system to hpq because it does not fit into their business model of designing and building plasma torch systems. hpq may turn into a great investment/company but that does not make it a takeover target for pyr. I think pyr would be much better served using there resources to expand there existing capacity through say opening an additional facility in europe or buying an existing plasma torch company. An expanded share buy back would also be a great option.
jmho... sorry it doesn't fit with yours.
