The first electric circuit was built in 1800. The first micro chip was invented in 1958, this advancement led to the eventual creation of a small company in New Mexico in 1975. In 1986 that company went public and today that company impacts your life everyday.
Artificial Plasma was first observed in 1879 and described as radiant matter. It was later observed in the 1920's and described in greater detail. The first plasma torch patent was granted in 1957. Since then plasma has been primarily used for cutting and metal work. In 1986, around the same time Pierre Carabin attended McGill, the USA and Russia started the ITER fusion project. Fusion is based on plasma. This project is still underway and worth understanding and monitoring.
On August 6, 1991 Pegasus Refractory Materials was incorporated in Montreal. The company was focused on plasma research and development. In 1996 that company became Pyrogenesis Canada Inc. In 2011, that company went public.
Today you sit upon the fulcrum of Pyrogenesis's history. During the last thirty years their technology has been validated and adopted by the US Navy, NATO and US Airforce.
