PYR CEO response to poster RE: Dross Valourization by Magbeach2
Conversation with the customer would go something like this…
Our system and equipment would yield you higher recovery and save you money now and continue to do so over the life of the system…great
Also, you would not need to truck the dross offsite to process which would save you transport costs…better
You would not need to landfill the residues which would save you money…also, we can convert these residues into valuable end products that you could sell and avoid environmental liabilities…you have my attention- where do I sign?

Great points by Midtownguy that this PYR JV can sell these high value dross residues NOT the aluminum customer...evern better:
@MidtownGuy Aluminum customers who have the dross will normally still be left with the residue; some might sell it dirt cheap to other industries as an aggregate material, but most just landfill it or store it. They, as a result, are happy to be rid of it as it will be safely destroyed and no longer their problem -- especially those who are up against landfill bans for stuff like that.
@MidtownGuy Basically the JV company goes to those aluminum companies and says, hey, we'll get rid of that nasty s#it for you free of charge, you good?
and/or it's part of the pitch to win drossrite projects "We clean up after ourselves", etc.
