RE:AMF filing motion to have Osler removed - asapNot sure why the AMF cares if the defendents are using the same counsel. Each defendent will be questioned on their involment and judged accordingly. The AMF would have to prove that there is a conflict of interest. The evidence is all in the documendation that was provided, and the AMF would have to prove their allegations are all based on the defendents broke the rules, so it is more like the AMF is on trial to prove their allegations not the other way around.
Interesting reading into the companies press release/update on AMF allegations they say they are looking for their day in court to prove their innocence and that this would expose those behind these allegations. So are they questioning the AMF investigators and their motives. I am not sure if we have heard whether there was a whistle blower or just the AMF questioning the way business was done in these circumstances. Be interesting if there is a connection between who the investigators were, and if they have had dealings with the defendents in the past on other matters.
