RE:RE:RE:Boring robotIt seems to me that, although the patent may show 72 torches for the full-scale version, it would be possible to build a 'mini-me' version of the entire robot to test in a real life situation, albiet a narrower 'test' tunnel. IMO it's not often that new concepts go from zero to full scale in a single step. Risks are usually mitigated and fine-tuning completed by scaling up. I don't know about tunnelling plasma robot either, but my engineering background and experience leads me through the logic behind my opinion.
