RE:RE:RE:RE:New HPQ Silicon Agoracom Interview

RE:RE:RE:RE:New HPQ Silicon Agoracom InterviewAnd another great post from @Vestor111:

@Vestor111 Here is a thought to ponder, IF someone puts a well financed arm around the FS biz opportunity (only a few times in a lifetime do you see this kind of industrial process improvement), PYR own 50% of the division. So if some well financed player says you know what, here's a deal, prove in the new reactor, and we will pay big money for an exclusive deal to build out 20-30 reactors over the next five years. Here's some money up front for the prove-in and once proved, here is the start of payments phased in over the next three years.

Not beyond a realistic realm of possible out comes. This opportunity is very rare and BT is probably calling around, trolling for a mix of deals to increase is leverage in this game. I think this could likely end up a "winner takes all" gambit. A fairly safe gambit once the up-scaled reactor proves in. One step, and we will give you any grade you want - cheaper than anything to competition can touch. This is a death knell for the embedded players...and they will soon find that out... GL to all longs. Soon. 4 weeks? Maybe earlier. I smile when I think about it. We will see...soon.

BCONTVentures wrote: @Sabbath Briefly, couple things people ain't understanding...
1) Fumed Silica top players are also Metallurgical Silicon manufacturers. Fumed silica is an end product / by product from metallurgical silicon/ high purity silicon.
2) FSR uses quartz to produce fumed silica, devauling & eliminating the use of Silicon Tetrachloride. This will greatly affect, increasing the costs of all silicon products before fumed silica production.
3) Once HPQ FSR affects these markets it will create a bigger demand for QRR

All of this will have huge pressure on Silicon manufacturers and thier clients. The success of the FSR pilot plant will be the turning point for them... $PYR

BCONTVentures wrote: And from @Vestor111:

@Vestor111 From the video interview ~6:20: "Things are going to move faster the moment the reactors do make the material."

@Vestor111 BT Continuing... "The second part you do realize why because the phrase you did use before, it is truly disruptive...making Fumed Silica directly from quartz, that will make obsolete all the other systems."

@Vestor111 BT: "They cannot change that from happening."

@Vestor111 BT discusses an interesting subtlely that might not be apparent to many, with this process, a full range of qualities can be achieved at minor cost differentials. That is rather unique as BT cites an obvious case at the other extreme - where cost of moving from one 9 silicon to four 9 silicon is vastly different.

This process can provide a full range of grades with minor additional costs is rather astounding at least from the community of people familiar with the older process.

All of these profound advantages, ie substantial cost savings, substantial energy savings, toxic byproducts being eliminated, process scaling, one step for a full range of qualities; all combine to really shake this industry. All of the embedded players should start to realize that any interloper could step in and basically wipe out their business from top to bottom. Billions of plant and equipment will be mothballed probably within about five years with a well funded partner or HPQ acquirer.

How this all plays out will be interesting and enriching to watch.

This clearly appears WILL end well for HPQ shareholders and PYR shareholders who could be building FS reactors at a pace set down out of need to seize this unique opportunity quickly. It is hard for me to believe that a player won't step up and puts a really big arm around HPQ. This opportunity is that profound.

What would you pay to take full control of a multi-billion dollar industry, all of which could be achieved AND paid for within a few short years. Mindblowing...and with that I look to continue to add because sampling (if all goes well and as planned) is about four weeks away.

BT once they sample: "Things will move faster..." Hard to see why this wouldn't be the case. This is far too disruptive on so many levels.

BCONTVentures wrote: Some great comments on the interview:

@cashbag2.0 we may see weekly news as they complete each phase of testing.exciting time ahead!

@JetsFanYEG Something massive must be happening soon, BT hinted at being in a blackout period of sorts (he said no comment when asked), he can exercise options but not much else, that usually happens when something material is about to happen

@JetsFanYEG And the fact that they can run 6 trials and revisions to the process per day is huge, I'm apt to believe BT when he says the material will be produced earlier in Q3 rather than later

GIANTS OF FUMED SILICA MARKET HAVE TAKEN NOTICE AND SIGNED NDAs

More than just talk, the Fumed Silica industry has taken notice as evidenced by multiple NDAs with leading manufacturers immediately after HPQ announced the successful production of Fumed Silica samples through its proprietary Reactor technology.

It's time for investors to take a closer look at the groundbreaking strides HPQ is making in reducing the carbon footprint, while also shattering the economics of the Fumed Silica industry.

These multiple non-disclosure agreements with leading manufacturers in the Fumed Silica space attest to HPQ's remarkable achievements. But what exactly is Fumed Silica, and why is the industry buzzing about it?

UNVEILING FUMED SILICA

Fumed Silica, a versatile micro-powder, isn't just another industrial substance. Its potential to reshape numerous industries, from cosmetics and toothpaste to powdered foods, makes it a game-changer across personal care, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, adhesives, construction, batteries, and beyond.

A MILESTONE IN GREEN ENGINEERING AND COMMERCIALIZATION PATHWAY

The company has taken a significant step towards commercialization and is advancing with the pre-commissioning of a 50 tonnes per year (TPY) FSR Pilot Plant, signalling promising prospects.

OPERATIONAL PILOT PLANT BY EARLY IN Q3

The pre-commissioning phase is progressing well, setting the stage for the pilot plant's operational launch in Q3. This milestone is pivotal as HPQ aims to transition from lab-scale production to commercial-grade outputs, addressing the high demand for eco-friendly fumed silica. The pilot plant will initially produce fumed silica with specific surface areas between 150 and 200 m²/g, eventually targeting over 300 m²/g for food and pharma applications.

MULTIPLE COMMERCIAL PLANTS GLOBALLY

The company is preparing for a future that could see the deployment of numerous 1,000-ton per year reactors to meet global demand. The local production model reduces transportation costs and environmental impact, further enhancing HPQ's competitive edge.

WORDS FROM HPQ CEO

Bernard Tourillon, President and CEO of HPQ Silicon and HPQ Silica Polvere, stated,

"The materials produced will be sent to several potential clients under nondisclosure agreements for qualification. These potential clients, who have expressed keen interest in our material, could become strategic partners in our journey. We aim to negotiate offtake agreements for our low-carbon fumed silica material with them."

ENHANCING ECONOMIC VIABILITY

The updated technical and economic study reveals remarkable cost efficiency and market potential:

  • Capital Expenditure: Around US$10 per Kg of annual capacity, drastically lower than the traditional US$146 per Kg, reducing entry costs by about 93%.
  • Energy Efficiency: Consuming 10-15 KWh per Kg of fumed silica, versus the conventional 100-120 KWh, marking a 90% reduction.
  • Profit Margins: Revised EBITDA margins for fumed silica with 150 m²/g surface area range from 72% to 80%, significantly higher than the industry average of 20%.

These figures underline the transformative potential of HPQ's technology, which not only slashes production costs but also enhances environmental sustainability.
