Lower torch price…

I know most of you have trouble hearing this, but I think we will not get a torch order until PYR lowers the price to at least $1 million each.
Comment by kjs4381 on Oct 08, 2020 9:55am
Are you kidding? Do you want them to lose money on each torch? Don't you think that the price has been calculated to be fair to both parties? I think they should sell jets for 10 million instead of 500 million, jmo.
Comment by fdfd12 on Oct 08, 2020 9:55am
What makes you say that?
Comment by Olderguy1 on Oct 08, 2020 11:54am
I understand that the all-in price for a onesy twosy torch order would be about $3 million per torch, but not for an order of a 100 or so. Bear in mind that these customers have very experienced purchasing and engineering departments. They are likely to have disected the material and labor content of a torch and have formulated an aprox. cost of manufacturing torches in the quantity they are ...more

Given the above, I expect Peter and the customer(s) are playing a cat and mouse game on price at this point. Also bear in mind that the customers are under no time constraint to make a purchase until they are completely satisfied with the terms of the agreement. WOW olderguy, did you just figure that out all by yourself? really?  i must say this is the dumbest post i've read all week ...more

US Navy sure had PYR lower their price for their waste management system ? How much that contract worth again ? For what ? A plasma torch dumpster ? Dont you think the price range was not determined beforehand all the testing / validating time and money consuming must do list ? You think now they play with the price they would have already agreed on. I can see a first mover advantage give to first ...more

So, why do you think we don't have an order yet?
Comment by ArnoldLayne on Oct 08, 2020 12:24pm
Cant answer that but you make assumption that theres no orders yet while we all know its imminent. No material change on any contract was announced so one should assume that imminently we'll have a tsunami of orders. Be patient olderguy, trust it or not but if uncomfortable, you should revise your invested capital here . glta
Comment by Olderguy1 on Oct 08, 2020 12:36pm
Just how long do you define imminent to be?
Comment by vers1demainvert on Oct 08, 2020 10:07am
Why not the opposite? Maybe Peter is trying to get $10 million per torch because this is the only alternative for iron ore cos. I think they will settle for $8 million per torch LOL
Comment by vers1demainvert on Oct 08, 2020 10:32am
Peter answered that question back in april. Please olderguy, instead of posting garbage do a little DD. When mentioning that each torch generates "up to $3M of revenue to PyroGenesis", is that based on terms already agreed with this customer, or just a ballpark number for a torch? Answer: Being torch experts we know what this type of torch should generate in “normal” circumstances ...more

You know Olderguy I was unsure whether you were a shorter or just a really dumb long investor. Either way you say some of the most idiotic things I've heard on any forum I've read so far. You clearly have no idea what you are talking about in regards to any of the bull you spew. Peter already spanked you once on agoracom. Maybe ask him that question Id love to see him make you ...more

So why do you think we don't have an order yet?
Comment by Oilminerdeluxe on Oct 08, 2020 12:24pm
Negotiations take time.
Comment by Olderguy1 on Oct 08, 2020 12:34pm
Order could be delayed by some sort of Covid issues, otherwise I think both parties have had plenty of time to finalize an order. I still think the customer is posturing for a better price.
Comment by vers1demainvert on Oct 08, 2020 12:41pm
Think all you want olderguy anyhow you are usually wrong. Oliminerdeluxe is right on the button by saying that mega deals take time. Peter has already stated that PYR is not closing a deal on a house but rather a shitload of torches.
Comment by Olderguy1 on Oct 08, 2020 12:45pm
I know I have someone cornered when they retreat to an insult to make themselves feel better. Have a good day.
Comment by vers1demainvert on Oct 08, 2020 12:56pm
Please, please olderguy do some DD and then maybe you will stop posting like a nervous nellie. Nervous Nellie refers to an investor who is not comfortable with investing and the risks associated with it. Nervous Nellies have very little risk tolerance. As a result, their investment returns are likely to suffer because they will put money only in very low-risk, low-return investments ...more

as usual, OLDERGUY has a neverending list of reasons to be worried about PYR... everything is a problem or could go wrong... always... WARNING!!! -- his role on this board is to get longs to sell their shares, and/or drive the price of the shares down... the sooner you all realize this and put him on ignore, the better for longs and the share price... he is one of the most dangerous ...more

So Sandy, why do you think we do not have an order yet ?
Comment by Mattboy on Oct 08, 2020 12:56pm
There could be a number of reasons on both sides. First of all they want to make sure they have gone over everything with both companies team of lawyers. This could go back and forth multiple times each time something is changed. We are also in a time when things are done over zoom and it makes the whole process more difficult and longer. Second you assume this billion dollar companies just have ...more

excellent post, Mattboy.... !!!!! WARNING !!!: Olderguy is getting far too much attention here... he is an extremely dangerous poster imho, and should be put on ignore... we need to eliminate his audience, because he is trying to inflict damage against longs and the share price... put him on ignore asap if you value your financial well being...
Comment by Welderkev1 on Oct 08, 2020 1:09pm
Sandy you give him too much credit. Anyone who has done their DD can see right through his BS therefore no threat to our financial well-being eliminate his threat by doing and responding with good DD
