lower than renewable electricity? Those same batteries in the EV market are also going to be used for energy storage for renewable energy like solar and wind, so basically it'll be batteries charging your battery

It has the same fundamental problem as gas. Eventually it will run out of hydrogen, though probably not in your lifetime
