BlackRock says

Ty @joshy at ceo

https://ceo.ca/boardroom?70faeb3a2913

BlackRock is also calling on metals companies to invest in decarbonization. “People pay premiums for companies that are lower carbon producers,” said Olivia Markham, who manages BlackRock’s mining investments together with Hambro. “If you look at the US steel industry, which is a much lower carbon intensity versus say the European steel industry, there’s a higher premium that is paid for that,” she said.

“If we’re just simply stopping burning fossil fuels for the production of energy and continuing to burn them for the production of materials, and we need a lot more materials, then we’re not actually going to solve the challenge that we face,” said Hambro.

Who would you rather listen to?  Someone named "tamarackflop, stairwayto, haratekid, dellissio" or BLACKROCK?
Comment by Holdrrrr on Oct 30, 2023 5:19pm
Look at even this article from BlackRock.  Now there's only so many ways these companies can decarbonize.  So most definitely, you can be certain, there is something fishy going on here.

People seem to be very sensitive after I pointed out how ridiculous it is to share conspiracy theories about Pyro's customers or pull a page from meme stock book. I would definitely listen to me, if issue is debunking ridiculous theories. At the same time they can listen to Blackrock as well - just try not to take assumptions too far.
Comment by Holdrrrr on Oct 30, 2023 9:45pm
Well thank you for giving us your permission that we are allowed to listen to BlackRock.  That's a very kind thing to do in this dictatorship you and your ilk have brought to this board. And you are very, very, very naive if you are calling the idea of stock manipulation a "conspiracy theory".  Especially when billion dollar contracts are currently in the process of ...more

Lol at this stupid dictatorship take. You and your buddy Thinkbig have attacked people relentlessly and now you're ultra sensitive because I questioned slandering one of Pyro's customers and building assumptions that they might be manipulating Pyro's stock. By yhe way, how do you know Pyrogenesis has billion dollar contracts in process? Do you work there or do you know someone inside ...more

You don't own stock here. Get it through your head, however difficult that may be.  What you are doing here is wrong.
Comment by tamaracktop on Oct 31, 2023 1:15am
I really don't think that Stockhouse Bullboards are intended exclusively and solely as a means for people who are excited about any particular stock to cheer it along. What is the rational, or frame of mind, of anyone who does? You certainly seem to.

I'm not selling my shares of PYR who is months away from completing testing, for a contract that could result in billions and billions of dollars with Rio Tinto.   This technology has been in development for over 25 years, and six months from the iron ore giant Rio Tinto with factories worldwide, possibly switching over to our technology, you clowns want to scream from the rooftops? ...more
Comment by haratekid on Oct 31, 2023 6:41am
Yes I do. Stop spreading lies about people to fit your insincere narrative. It's not wrong to ask how do you know there are billion dollar contracts in process. Please, provide ansource instead of evading my question with lies.
Comment by paul03 on Oct 31, 2023 7:06am
I think what he's talking about is client B. There's a release a few years ago if memory serves me right that if everything went well with the 4 torches there could be subsequent orders for 130 torches. At that time it was estimated at 7Mil NPV per torch life expectancy x 130 = a little over 900mil. That was 2 years ago those numbers might be a little higher now obviously material goes up ...more

And by saying that if Rio does chose the plasma torch route my opinion is it wouldn't be one big order. It will be in multiple phases.
Comment by Holdrrrr on Oct 31, 2023 8:01am
Yes I assume it would be in phases, the Rio Tinto labrador facility alone would require 132 torches, and they have many of the same worldwide
Comment by Holdrrrr on Oct 31, 2023 8:03am
So an entire refitting would most likely be thousands of torches, I cant give you a number, because I don't know.  But approximately 100 per facility anyway
Comment by Holdrrrr on Oct 31, 2023 8:09am
I was told the torches have a 25 year serviceable life, with an average maintenance cost of $750k, per torch per year also.
Comment by Holdrrrr on Oct 31, 2023 8:14am
*Correction* Plasma torches for iron ore pelletizing cost approximately $2 million a torch. Yearly recurring revenue in the form of maintenance and replacement parts is approximately $275,000 per torch. Note that these torches have an approximate useful life of 20 to 25 years. Client B (Rio Tinto/IOC) has previously requested an estimate for 130 torches (for Rio/IOC's operations at Labrador). ...more
Comment by paul03 on Oct 31, 2023 8:20am
This is straight from a release in 2021 I believe. Given recent sales, and the fact that the torches are expected to last 25-30 years, PyroGenesis has revised the estimated net present value (NPV) of each torch sale to be approx. $7MM (calculated based on 20-year life).

All I know, is if this deal goes through with Rio Tinto, the numbers are incredible.  Everyday I debate selling, but for the amount of shares I own, how far I'm down, and the risk/reward.  Im  diamond hands lol There is negatives about pyr, no one can deny that.  I'm just hoping Rio approves, and for all the trouble they went through to get this far, and their limited ...more

The chances are excellent that the Rio Tinto deal works out. They have invested massively in this and up to now they are very satisfied. This is a no brainer and almost risk free. Some longs here are going to rake in massive fortunes if they are patient. I would not want to be in the shoes of those who sold at the low when we are so close to getting a gigantic contract.
Comment by Thinkbigsti69 on Oct 31, 2023 8:43am
Sell now and try to live with the consequences when we get a gigantic Rio Tinto contract signed.
Comment by Holdrrrr on Oct 31, 2023 8:47am
Well the labrador Rio contract is worth near a billion alone, if that's approved then the floodgates open to the other industry players, giving the green light on the plasma tech.  Rio has locations worldwide, and Vale I've heard (I don't know much about). So I agree with you.
Comment by paul03 on Oct 31, 2023 9:01am
I never sold shares either. Seeing this play out as that was my initial plan when jumping in. Long term hold. I stopped debating with certain posters a long time ago. It wasn't healthy and they won't stop until this goes to 0.00$ of course my belief is their technology and the direction of the world will eventually pay out to patient investors and those posters are banking on the eventual ...more

I completely understand.  I feel the same way, the bashing is relentless and there's no way to win.  Even if you make a valid point or any kind of discussion, it is immediately steered to as negative as possible and ends in one of them saying "just sell". And it's organized in my opinion.  And I think you are right, their ultimate goal is to destroy the company ...more

I guess we will either have a grand slam, or a strike out, I'm hoping for the best. If we can pull in a few nice contracts while waiting on Rio, and land that too.  Then this will pay off.
