New Contracts?

People here often talk about a contract(s) with Rio Tinto.

Rio Tinto is the 114th largest publicly traded company in the world.

It has 57,000 employees.

Last year it had free cash flow of US $1.36 billion.

It's cash flow over any 2-day period last year was $14 million more than PyroGenesis is worth.

Rio Tinto is about one thousand six hundred times bigger than PyroGenesis.

Rio Tinto will never sign a "contract" with PyroGenesis.

Never ever.

Why would they sign a contract with a company for more than they could buy the company for?  lol. Purely hypothetically,  that won't happen either.
Comment by KaizerSoze on Mar 06, 2024 1:08pm
Because they don't roll that way. You have any idea on how many partners they have? It's mind boggling. They don't buy everybody. Just use their services.

So what ? Useless commentary. No surprise that RT will not sign a contract with PYR. IOC will sign it. RT is the operator of IOC. It is only part owner of  IOC. The other two are LIF and Japenese trading company. RT has 51%. Just enough to be majority owner.   TTOP, please stop useless  commentary.

I think the soothsayers here should ask the company to issue a press release in response to the  recent trading activity here.  It seemed so critical when the stock was cratering at the 6 dollar level. Why not now?

how about removing the s from contracts.  Even a contract(s) would be good. Time for a freakin bone.
Comment by KaizerSoze on Mar 06, 2024 11:58am
This comment is so wrong on every level. RT doesn't do business like that. Operations are massive and complex. Many departments within a smelter and each complex with needs & budgets. L Many "partners" & contractors that they do business with to run their operations, tax write off's involved. They don't buy company's like you suggest.

Like I suggest?? I suggested they wouldn't.  I couldn't have been clearer.

Now it's "nice try on the spin"?? Maybe you should read this again, taking your time and really concentrating this time: Comment by tamaracktopon Mar 06, 2024 2:38am 47 Views  Post# 35917304 RE:New Contracts? Read carefully. I'll simplify for you. Doesn't matter what the size or worth of a company is. They will do business with you, if you provide what they need, even though the cost of the service or equipment far exceeds the worth of the company.  Stick to what you know. RBC rrsp's, mutual, mortgages. You know nothing of big industry. I'm certain you've never stepped foot ...more

You should also read the client’s “Suppliers Code of Conduct.” That will give you an idea why no contract is signed. I can post it here again if you want some good DD.

That would be a separate post altogether if you're implying something. Nothing to do with what your buddy's original post was aiming at

That's right , when big corporations re-tool their older equipment  like furnaces , it's a big deal...and obviously a very big expenditure...RioTinto will not rush into this process obviously ...Or Vale- Tata steel et cetera...But when the process is proven to bring a big benefits like a guaranteed lifetime of benefits such as lowering their GHG emissions while improving the ...more
