FINAL COMMENT ON FINANCIAL STATEMENTS

Pyro is a growth stock on the cusp of commercializing its many applications.

Investors are free to agree or disagree with this statement. If they agree, they buy some shares. If they don't agree with this statement, they don't buy.

What investors in Pyro don't do at this time is consider book value of assets. Book value is an accounting term with a very specific definition. Book value has nothing to do with fair market value.

In relation to important financial information for Pyro I think you need to focus on debt, receivables, short term liabilities including payroll. But most importantly, you must seriously consider potential. In doing so you analyze the technology, its relevance and the pipeline of deals and potential deals just for starters. If your interest is piqued you then do more analysis, including barriers to entry and competition, macro issues.

For me, the above information is part of the due diligence. Lots more to consider.

Based on all of this work, I decided Pyro is worth risking some money.

What I didn't do is focus in any way on Pyro's balance sheet because it doesn't come close to telling us the complete story of Pyro.

I guess investors don't agree, not many are buying. And as far of technology, it doesn't seem to be as it was portrayed, or too costly, or reliable, or too much energy consomption or too much maintenace.

But not many are selling either

The CEO is the biggest seller and he would sell even more if there were more willing buyers..Fair value is what the market will pay for the stock so as of today it is worth  41 cents a share As far as patents go, you can look at Blackberry (Research in Motion) and see what good it has done for them. If PYR's technologies were so wonderful the market would realize it and the SP would ...more

Well said Melida , unfortunately this truth is directed to someone who is not interested in the truth...When the goal is profit from shorting , accompanied with  Baloney on chat sites to enable this agenda....Not too many investors fall for this , or pay any attention to BB's....they can read about PYR's  plasma technology and realize the value it creates...This plasma technology ...more

It's an interesting discussion, about the valuation of any company, including PYR. Book value, is no longer used by most investors, even Warren Buffett, one of the greatest investors of all time-even though that was the approach that started value analysis with Benjamin Graham (see below) Similarly, talking about potential revenue, based on technology, is relying on speculation.(and one ...more

For all those that understand accounting standards a little bit, it has always been clear that book value was not the proper valuation of company value.  By the nature of accounting, book value would warrant a much closer look if the market cap was lower than book value.  PYR's book value is actually negative and while typically the market caps are much larger than book values ...more

Some truth in there.  Need to focus on short term obligations.  When you don't have enough cash to pay for all you owe, that is a problem.  When your general expenses are around $30 million per year but your net sales have fallen to $4ish million ($12 million less $8 million of costs to deliver those), that is a problem. On the cusp of breaking into billion dollar industries? & ...more
