RE: funnyThanks for your reply whizz8.Your input is helpful.I understand the porosity aspect of which you speak, and have no doubts that it is the main limiting factor. The list that I gave were actual proposed terminating zones that drilling licenses were recently issued for in the Midnapore reporting area.
There are some conflicting reports it seems,so I have been trying to gather info. piece by piece and putting it altogether.
I am almost 100% sure that the partner is Kinloch allright. They spudded their 8-10 well on Dec.08,which was 2 days before QEC put out the NR saying that drilling ops. were underway.
Kinloch told you that they had no partners, but their license says "et al"(and others)...so,yes,they had partners. As for the depth of the well, the license says 2692 meters directional, and I never meant to infer that the well was possibly in the Vulcan area.I was only thinking Parkland.(The Vulcan well is actually 1910 mtrs vertical).
Here is a link to the license.(hope it works). You have to scroll down to 0139594.

What I find very intersting is that Kinloch is currently in Merger talks with Stylus Expl....so,maybe that's the reason for secrecy?..I am just speculating here, but my bet is that it's QEC/Kinloch.
Also, here is the link for the Vulcan well.It was spudded on Jan.03,which was also 2 days before QEC came out with news that it was spudded. This Vulcan well also says "et-al".....so I figure that there is just too much coincidence here! Here is the link for the Vulcan well license.Again, scroll way down to 0319405 https://www.eub.gov.ab.ca/bbs/data/well-lic/wells1122.txt
good luck to you as well!We shall see!
