RE: Changes to the BoD Needed!Re Caindelwin: "it's also time to make some changes to the WiLAN Board of Directors...and AGM is approaching and would be the ideal time for this. Toomany lawyers (and many useless people, really) on the BOD and not anybusinessmen who bring any value. Mostly YES-MAN scared to stand up toJim Skippen, always agreeing with everything Skippen does."
Maybe. But what do we actually know? Do we know they always agree? Who is useless and why? Etc. Be careful, you may get what you are wishing for. Generally, if significant differences are common within a bd, or between bd and ceo, the effect is paralyze a company and set the stage for revolts, hostile takeovers, etc. Want this? A good bd adds value by bringing diverse experience/knowledge/useful contacts and working together w ceo as a team, not taking disagreement to a point where we would find out about it. I'm not too concerned about presence of lawyers on the bd, because decisions about legal claims, negotiating strategies and possible litigation and settlements are key items for the co., and bd needs strength here.
Anyway, assessing bd is a challenge. But is there anything behind your views other than frustration with sp for last two months? If that's all it is, then much too short term a basis for deciding bd is bad.
