RE: RE: GPC vs Wi-lan

RE: RE: GPC vs Wi-lanSRK, I don't really understand what you're after except MSD sh*t.

Regarding GPC, GPC came after Wi-lan.  Court docs indicate that Lerner had discontinued employment more than 1 year before going to Wi-lan. GPC approaches are  not trade secrets, etc.
Regarding Telus, Telus came after Wi-lan.  JS got rid of that one very fast if I remember correctly.
Regarding LG, it appears to me that LG is attempting to do an end run.  I cannot blame JS for this.

Regarding MSD, I have to admit I didn't like the timing from a macro point of view.  However, I believe the Nortel  sale, the IDCC sp rise upon them indicating they were looking for a buyer, etc. I suspect had a very large part in the decision to proceed.  I also believe we don't know the real goings on with the whole Nokia/MS scenario.  It is interesting that JS indicated they were at DD stage with 2 larger companies and then no announcements.

If LG works out in Wi-lan's favour, I expect we'll see a bunch of licences signed very quickly.

I expect that it will be taking a long time to address HTC, Apple, Acatel, etc.
