I wonder if it is possible that AL was considering to have Gladios / Wilan handle its patents, but then changed its mind and decided to simply sell the patents. In terms of selling its patents, AL will want as much as possible, and Wilan will not be able to compete for the more desirable patents at an auction. Any LTE patents will be scooped up by players like Apple or Google. 

Is it possible that the marquee players are hesitant to use Wilan, given the negativity surrounding NPEs and Trolls these days?
