Apple of our eyesUnderstandably, this board has become entirely focussed on the Apple case. That settlement, if there is one, would be significant, so a loss would be significant too. But let's look at the implications of a loss, and investing strategies that might respond. The loss would send the stock down, for sure. But how much? Several of the obvious hirelings on this board have been saying down to $2, or maybe more. I think much of a possible loss is already discounted, since the sp has stayed flat despite recent settlements. So I would expect a loss could take it down 20% or so, to the $3 level (in line with the BNN analyst mentioned on the board, I can't remember who).
But for how long? A $3 sp on a company poised to report strong revenue growth and profits based on recent settlements, probably with a dividend increase. To me, this says buying opportunity. So the downside could have an upside for longs confident in the longterm picture.
