RE:RE:Apple is not dumb...Thanks Spin (InOut also) for contributing some rationality. Otherwise, this board has gotten pretty ridiculous, no doubt partly due to stress as the Apple case gets into final hours. But, frankly people, if you are feeling great stress, that is because you are gambling not investing.
Any serious investor has a strategy re a loss next week as well as a win. I'm a longterm hold,so that's my bias. If there is a loss next week, I just keep holding. A loss next week, on top of July loss, would be black swan level bad luck for Win, but the business model is still viable. Courts are still upholding patents for Win's peers, going to court remains an effective backstop for licencing negotiations Win as for others. Companies negotiating with Win will base their responses on the patents in question + assessment of probable future actions by the courts, not a court loss in Win's past.
In short, after a loss the Win caravan moves on, more or less as it will after a win. If there is a loss and a sell-off, Win will be an amazingly high yield patent play with big revenue increase and profitability virtually certain within weeks, and a probable dividend increase. Not a bad camel to ride in my opinion. Good luck to all.
