Follow the money...ignore the "noise".Wi-Lan is actually turning into a very nice "cash cow" for shareholders. I am betting(I am a shareholder) that Apple will settle the "802" before trial...maybe at the very, very, very last minute...but yesterday"s(Friday) court victory over one of the very largest patent holders in the world in Ericsson might give the lawyers for Apple pause...considering all if not every settlement is private...Apple and Wi-Lan might just be able to find some common ground to end the cash drain and move forward.
The CC was good...we had : CantorFitz,Paradigm,Clarus,Global Maxim,Canaccord,CantorFitz,CIBC,Paradigm,Canaccord...in this order of Q & A......CIBC asked a very strange Q about Samsung obligation...threw everybody off...I am thinking the CIBC caller had something else on the brain...and not Wi-Lan. All in all some good Q &A.....Global had a nice Q about "Flash"...virgin portfolio...most is unlicensed so great potential.

Apple is Apple but maybe a bit more research into this verdict over Ericsson.....will richly reward investors who buy in on Aug.04/14....just my thoughts....not a telecommunication engineer(What were the background of our founders again?)...only a layperson....let the CNBC crowd worry over Apple and we(shareholders) will reap some very nice returns in the meantime.
****Breaking up into 5 Indy teams to prepare their patent portfolio for licensing....small cells to concentrate on what matters...almost has a military context to it. GLTA shareholders.
