RE:RE:RE:Re: Skippen retires......

RE:RE:RE:Re: Skippen retires......My 2 cents worth (that would be my Win winnings):

(1) agree w Anschutz that sale of company unlikely; it's more a matter of dumping a CEO who hasn't delivered.  The only basis for sale speculation here is that if an offer is on the table and Skippen was the obstacle, then sale could go ahead.  But don't hold your breath for big dollars; the business model hasn't worked so the value would be the patents (discounted for current negative environment) + existing rev streams.

(2) I've held since 2004, but am now out except for 5k socked away in a TFSA for the dividend.  Have exited because the original story is no longer believable; speculation about merger/sale is speculation only, a completely different story.  So unless you buy for dividend, it's a gambler's stock.

I think the company will grind slowly higher, focussing on non-tech patents.  But these are not a different ballgame than tech patents, and when company's push back and they go to court, will just result in further disappointment.  Reckon that's the best case scenario.  Not what I had hoped, but it is what it is.
