donmon a special dividend is a one time dividend (non recurring) above and beyond the regular dividend. Sometimes if a company has a large amount of cash that is just sitting doing nothing they will pay certain amount of the cash as a dividend. In our case, as some have noted, our cash will probably be put to use with an acquisition.
