RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:spAnalysts exist for 1 reason. To make as much money as possible  - for themselves, and the stocks and funds they front for.
They manipulate the herd mentality, and investors seem to put them on pedestals and consider them to be gurus.
They talk up the stock, put a positive spin on it, raise the target price - and the herd buys in.
All the while they have a finger on the sell button.
It goes the other way also.
I don't put an ounce of faith in a word they say.
Quite the opposite. I pretty much use them as a contrarian indicator.
