I'm of the opinon that such a merger, while possibly timely, is not ITS strategic. That doesn't mean it should not be considered. A company needs to be opportunistic as well a strategic.
Two points on your post:
- The term "troll", which you've used several time recvently, is perjorative and disrespectful of company seeking a fair return on intellectual property even though it does not produce good/services with the IP. I believe its use, as used here, was created by Apple, Google et. al.
- Please read up on VirnetX. Virnet offers products/services (Gabriel Suite) in the internet security business.
