I was looking at it from the opposite perspective. If Apple risks the per unit license rate going from .45 to .85 if they lose at CAFC, does Apple really care if they have to pay $200 million USD more (for all iPhone models) or does all that matter to Apple is following the modus operandi of stretching the payment out as long as possible? A few posters have expressed the view that $200 million USD is chump change for Apple.
