"Isn't this the Board just protecting itself/ hanging on?"
This is just ridiculous. SEE 10 & 5YR STOCK CHARTS AND COMPARE TO MOST INDEXES. There's not the slightest indication of significant shareholder dissatisfaction with the board. MORE SHAREHOLDERS NEED TO PAY ATTENTION. WILANDER SOLD JUST BECAUSE HIS AGM QUESTIONS WERE NOT ANSWERED? SEE SIGNIFICANT VOTES WITHHELD FROM DIRECTORS LAST FEW AGMS. Is there a third-party circular out there? I'm looking for one on SEDAR and I don't see it.VERY RARE TO HAVE A DISSIDENT CIRCULAR, ESPECIALLY SINCE COST INVOLVED COULD BE $1M PLUS. FURTHER, QTRH WOULD RESPOND WITH FULL DEFENCE/ ONSLAUGHT, SPENDING MORE TO DEFEAT. JOBS ARE VALUABLE ! SEE HUDBAY (HBM) FIGHT 2 YRS AGO TO GET AN IDEA OF HOW QUICKLY SHAREHOLDER CAPITAL WOULD BE SPENT.
I suppose there will always be some shareholder grumbling coming from somewhere. In this case from people making up grievances that have no basis in anything. SEE 10 YEAR AND 5 YEAR STOCKCHART. Maybe the fact that the stock has dropped from $2.90 to $2.57. Blame the market. COMPARE QTRH PERFORMANCE TO MOST INDEXES. I SUGGEST NOT LOOKING AT NASDAQ !
I admit that I too am a bit perplexed by the $50,000 for Kingston. One possibility is that management is considering the possibility of some "other business" coming up at the AGM that will require a shareholder vote on the spot.THEY WANT TO BE SURE THEY GET ELECTED AND BE SURE THE COMP PLAN IS NOT DEFEATED. $50K FOR THAT - YOUR MONEY HARD AT WORK. OTHER BUSINESS IS A STANDARD ITEM. IF YOU VOTE ON LINE LEAVING PROXY HOLDER UNCHANGED, THAT PROXY HOLDER IS ABLE TO VOTE YOUR SHARES ON ANY NEW MATTER THAT COMES UP. NEW MATTERS RARELY COME UP.
