Tomorrow is the last day to get the Motorola deal on the Q3 books. I would think this would be something they want with Q3 otherwise pretty zzzz.

I don't think it matters if it's Q3 or Q4, as long as it's announced prior to the Q3 conference call. I wonder if Wilander doesn't continue to view QTRH's IP monetization business on too short a timeframe..

Don't know about BB Socrates. There's not much info out there. The fact that they say they are selling a business rather than just patents is interesting. Do you have any speculation? v_g's rpx model is interesting.

I see extremely low probability.   The incremental capital should be going to ITS. They can only be in the mix if they pre-sign up licensees like they did with the NorthStar patents.  The strategic partnership with Samsung and other players gives them an advantage.  That is the only way they are in the mix, which I highly doubt as they don't need a licensing operation

BB patents are a national treasure. It would be a shame to see them taken outside of canada considering that im sure alot of canadian money went into developing them. im not saying i want Wilan involved though.

I just realized/capitulated as we finally got to $3 that long term lumpy doesnt get you much in a public company. Being stubborn about not admitting it doesn't win you anything. Remember that the Motorola status hearing was moved from September 24 to (you guessed it) November 8th.   Why would the status hearing be set on the same day as the CAFC hearing? The longer the delay the higher the probability it is Apple and Motorola.

Possibly Astutein.  I don't have a pipeline into his thinking, although I feel confident that there will be additional acuisition activity before year end.  if it were me, I'd focus on tuckings to fill gaps in either IRD's or ETC's businesses.  ETC has only been in house for 4 weeks and I suspect that QTRH management is just starting to get its arms around ETC's
