I know its Quarterhill board but there are so few posts discussing about Quarterhill. Virnetx is still somewhat related to Wilan. So I wanted to see if anybody is following XD

Yes, I've been looking at VirnetX. On one hand, it sure looks dirt cheap on a balance sheet basis. It's now selling at about cash per share and it's well below book value per share. Also, you have to like that Jeffrey Lamken is their lawyer in Apple II. (Note that Apple I is already done. Apple--grumbling to the last moment--paid VirnetX roughly $450 million in March 2021.) Nice summary mrmoribund - couldn't agree with you more.  Much more near/mid-term upside with Virnetx than QTRH right now but I have much more confidence with QTRH following through with their opportunities. Chi.

Thanks for sharing your deep knowledge mrmoribund. While I like Quarterhill's growth story, VernetX's cash/share price is very attractive considering its limited downside. (I bought some at $2.00/share)   I'm still holding Quarterhill, but it's been bothering my mind for the past few months. When they announced debenture, I expected to hear about another acquisition ...more

I've sure taken notice Pinetree.  I started buying at $4 and have averaged down a few times.  Even more of a steal than QTRH at these levels - I agree.  You get a company for less than cash, plus an option on a $500 million Apple settlement plus an option on the application of the proven patents on the rest of the market.  Even if they lose the Apple case, there is still ...more
