Will the Philippines restrict ore exports like Indonesia?

Will the Philippines restrict ore exports like Indonesia? As I alluded to before China has met it's growing appetite for nickel by increasing production, mainly as ore, from mainly Indonesia and the Philippines. This concentration of mineral dependence has left them more vulnerable to supply and price shocks as is evidenced by Duterte's short lived environmental crackdown and Indonesia's ore restrictions. Now it appears that the Philippines has seen the success Indonesia has had leveraging their natural resource wealth into attracting value added industries and hopes to do the same. Whether or not this will involve export restrictions on ore is anybody's guess but the template for them to follow is there and Duterte has already shown a willingness to impose strict policy controls on mining if he deems them in the country's best interests. https://businessmirror.com.ph/2020/12/24/mining-needs-policy-lift-as-nickel-boom-seen-in-focus-on-re-e-vehicles/
