Upcoming Alternative to LME.....I've mentioned this Company a few times here before on this Board due to the discussion about the LME debacle - for those interested in a Company developing an exchange and clearing house for the trading of futures contracts with physical delivery for transition energy products (ie. LNG), battery metals (ie. nickel) carbon credits, and gold - you might want to check out Abaxx Technologies (ABXX) on CBOE Canada and about to be uplisted to the CBOE in the U.S. The Exchange - which will operate out of Singapore - will be the first vertical to use Abaxx's suite of technology products and will ultimately use "smart contracts" to fufil its mission. Smart contracts will allow for the customization of contracts pairing say an LNG contract with a carbon credit contract, or differentiating one nickel source from another based on the carbon intensity of their production. The Company will "light up" the Exchange late this summer/early fall. Robert Friedland, Kyle Bass, and the Lundin family are significant investors. The Board on Stockhouse for this name is pretty dead but if you follow CEO Josh Crumb on Twitter, James Duade on Seeking Alpha or find the companies Smarter Markets podcast presentations you can find a whole trove of worthwhile information on the energy transition - Robert Friedland's being some of the most entertaining. Successful exchanges are some of the most highly valued financial assets. Its a start up thats about to start up - and about to get some US exposure - but certainly not a deep value play like Sherritt - and so to avoid the risk of being misinterpreted - its a recommendation of something interesting to take a look at - after that you're on your own.
