RE:RE:RE:HMMM MORE BANKING LAYOFFS? - IN THE AUTO FINANCE DIVISION! EXACTLY...they've been printing money and had zero rates for 15 years. Now it's time to pay the piper since the effects of that have now reached the general public in food, housing and transportation costs. We are actually returning to rate normalcy. The rates are staying where they are for a long time, which is where they've normally been. It was extremely abnormal to have such low rates.
TIMBER is what I anticipate. Time will tell. The good thing is bad times don't last forever. North America will do well after the recession. Europe and Asia may be a different story with the exception of India which has curried favour, no pun intended, with the likes of, well everyone on the planet! Maybe to a lesser extent with the Chinese, as they have been having border spats here and there.
On this board, Sherritt is the focus and I continue to think that their fortunes are tied to the US-Cuba relationship along with the economies of Europe and Asia, which are slowing.
IMO I think Binedell should put a hold on expansion and use the money to pay down debt. No need to add 20% more Ni in a saturated market. With a glut of Ni and a rising US dollar, it's a recipe for losses. I believe their huge investment in the Ambitovy mine in Madagascar was deflated due to crashing Ni prices.
I'm glad to see reality starting to come through on this board.
Make sure you read current information and compare it with what's actually happening on the ground. Be wary of people counting their chickens before they hatch i.e.) revenues, production, profits, debt retirement, expansion, sales etc.
