a close at or above $.60 today despite the hesitant morning.  And agree with rock fella maybe a short pause in this range but we get to $.80 quicker than anyone (except maybe NV and his 'coiled spring') thought possible - including myself

rkhosla, we need to stay in this 50 range for a wee bit..this would be healthy,,, we can't do this all in a day.. Copper is down a dime and I often notice nickel is it's shadow in some strange way...But good news is we are going to the 80's and expect to be there first week in February!!!! if not, I will talk to the Stock Market Gods and use some of my magical fairy dust eh!!!!!!!

Here's my take on SP. The co. has had its SP bombed out and written off as going to zero. I think this was very excessive especially given the reduction of debt. With ni where it is and with co on the rise Sherritt could get to .80 on sentiment alone. That said, what will truly move SP (ie above 1.00) is the ability to generate FCF and collection on receivables owed. If they can demonstrate ...more

Another thing I should add is that I don't think Ni can stay above 8.00 for very long unless/untill there are substantial and sustained LME drawdowns. I think the Co spot price is the most likely the run short term.

Receivables are the only thing keeping me from dumping the kids' college fund into Sherritt.  What's keeping Cuba from hitting the reset button and saying "nope!  It's day 1 and you can forget about the debts." I mean, Sherritt did it to their own bondholders!

For one, they have been making payments as per the arrangement. If Sherritt is bankrupted by debts owed to Cuba then not only will it be virtually impossible to attract foreign investments in the future but their lights will go out.
