Reuters Jan 17 - Andy Holme -Ni inventory doubles since sept

Inventory grows, china conversion capacity grows, surpluss persists, companies cutting expenditures; yet Indonesia shows no sign of abating:

Indeed, Macquarie analysts note that "surpluses remain our base forecast for the overall nickel market all the way out to 2027, most likely in all main product categories." Yikes.

Hmmm more confusion RS-Mr V.  If the Chinese are so cunning and they control the Ni market then wouldn't it be to their advantage to have higher Ni prices so they could fill their coffers with much much needed money given their protracted stimulation efforts? Sherrit is $0.30 and Ni is $7/lb.
