Very strange

Look I know its the PH but there is something very odd here.
1. In 48 hours, the only info (and that is completely contractory) comes from one reporter.  No other info on any other site, including the govt mining bureau that "made the statement".

2. In yesterday's article, the IRR is 3 pages long:

"The final draft of the IRR has the same provisions as its first draft, which was first made public in May.One of the salient features of the IRR is the provision that lifted the nationwide ban on the open-pit mining method. Under the first draft of the three-page IRR,"

3. Ok, but then if that provision was "removed" how is today's IRR now 4 pages long.  Wouldn't it be shorter than 3 pages?

"Based on the four-page IRR, which was contained in the DENR’s Department Administrative Order (DAO) 25, the agency decided to take out its earlier provision that would lift the whole of DAO No. 2017-10 or the ban on open-pit mining."

Like I said, redemption was accomplished one day and now it's back to the same old game playing in the PH the next day. If Duterte steps in and clears open pit it's only until the next admin. steps in - then what? What large ...more

Also - the original article removing the ban was posted only once from the Manilla Bulletin - no where else. The DENR must have asked them to clarify it's postion - if you read the original artilce there is a lot of "double speak" going on regarding the ban being lifted. I was unclear yesterday after reading it but went along for the ride. Let's face it, we can now put the ...more

I would very much like to be in your camp but no open pit no king king. This stock is sketchy and exhausting. I don't think anyone would ever invest in that butthole of a country if it's this crazy just trying to follow government position. After all it's a dumpster fire run by a lunatic
