Morgan Stanley Buying: What Could It Mean?

Anybody following a bit the gold and bank sector has read some articles about big banks manipulating/controling the precious metals' prices.  Just Google "Morgan Stanley Gold Manipulation" and you will find interesting stories about the strategies of these big banks to make money by shorting and using "pump and dump" strategies.

Seeing the Canada branch of Morgan Stanley nibbing at some ANX shares on the market might mean that they might stop shorting gold soon and let the price fly.  They are positioning themselves in good junior plays in order to ca$h on when the POG will rise. Or this could also mean that some serious DD is done and that they find that ANX is undervalued at the current level.  On both cases, it's good for the SP.

I think it's just a client of Morgan Stanley, not Morgan Stanley itself. But it's good sign anyway.

I agree that it probably is only a single client from Morgan Stanley. The volume is way too low for institutional buying. The good news is that the lack of sellers can make the share price pop even more significantly if major institutions finally start buying. The new ounces at Argyle and Stog’er could bring between 60 and 90 M$ in the next three years, so there is no need for a private placement ...more
