Interest Rates Won't Go Up But Gold Plunges - Makes No Sense

Interest Rates Won't Go Up But Gold Plunges - Makes No Sense

After the US Federal Reserve made a decision to keep interest rates low until 2023, hurting an investor's ability to get a return, I'm disappointed that Gold is taking a plunge as opposed to going up.

Since gold futures usually go up when interest rates are low and stagflation is imminent, I'm not sure why gold is heading the opposite direction.

Therefore, to see Gold Futures go down in spite new zero interest rates makes no intuitive, financial, or mathematical sense.
