So when the Nasdaq goes down Shop goes down. When the Nasdaq goes up Shop goes down. Does that pretty much sum it up? Even Lightpspeed is up and we are down. My only explanatiion is that insiders - institutions, already know that earnings next week will be below forecast. If you think about it, earnings last quarter were above forecast, but Amy - CFO- said not to expect growth at the same pace as ...more

BrokerG...thats why is not a good idea to listen to analysts. They have their own agenda and it isnt in your best interest. I have no idea where SHOP will bottom (I dont hold the stock but if it gets low enough I will enter of a trade). I am also looking at LSPD for a trade. Earnings will be a turning point for the stock (good or bad).

Clearly Shop is losing its wind because other tech stocks are moving in up or at least holding steady.

I find analysts are good to tell you what already happened, and to repeat what management says on earnings calls. Their 12 month targets are rarely predicting anything. (I'm generalizing obviously, there are some exceptions)
