Surface samples continue, no drill holes for at least 6

months. Working on US Forest service land is going to be problematic I am
afraid. This might be a very long and slow process to determine what
if any gold resources they have on their large land package.

Maybe so---Now they are doing envrionmental baseline studies in support of permitting for drilling.  Six months is a long time to wait before drilling.  There may be problems getting water for drilling now.  Water is more plentiful in the spring.  On a positive note this gives them lots of time to evaluate all targets.  If there is a rush to drill the best target may be ...more

My main point is the next 6 to 9 months are going to be waiting for the results of their first drill program and the assay results.  right now they don't have a lot of cash for a  large drill program.  my worry would be more dilution in the 50 cent range and nothing happening that would/could move the stock up  till we get the results from the first drilling program.

While we will be waiting for drill results next spring, Nexa should be drilling the Florida Canyon project in Peru.  It is a vast project and Nexa seems intent on figuring out just how good it is.  Currently zinc stocks on the LME are very low at 54K tonnes and no one seems to notice or care how critically low they are. In the first drill program at Golden Crest I think several ...more

5 years ago the stock was at 70 cents.  they didn't have Goldcrest and their proved zinc reserves were a fractiion of what they are now.  I am not sure this company has a faster gear. my worry is that 2 years from now we will have some good (hopefully) drill holes in South Dakota, maybe a few more holes at Lik and the Florida Canyon reserves will have increased another 50%, but we ...more

You are right wondering whether SLR has a faster gear.  They are working with majors and they have a different time scale.  I was in and out of Solitario in 2017.  Not much change still 70 cents and not adjusted for inflation.  Florida Canyon looks a lot better.  The targets seem to be compelling a drill program.  Likewise Lik's potential has to be assessed with ...more

Agree entirely. Can we extrapolate the trench samples to 5-10 meter depths?
Comment by MisterMarket on Dec 09, 2022 1:40pm
Yes we can.  My Cdn Ministry of Mines guide to prospecting during the 1930's Depression states that, as a Rule of the Thumb, the potential dip of a vein is 1/3 of its length.  So you can expect a 90M vein to have 30M of dip.
