RE:short position
Sometimes the changes in short positions has nothing to do with the market and are more of a technical nature: e.g. somebody who owns warrants, can sell shares short to raise money to exercise warrants, which happens outside the market.
The current short position represents 0.55% of outstanding shares - which is minor
The same thing happened a year ago, 1.7 mil shorts, in May warrants were exercised to the tune of 17 mil warrants, the shorts disappered from the books.
