RE: RE: RE: doomsday scenarioYourNadir I'm not really sure how this board got so in depth with conspiracy theories and the like but I think Chipshot's post was one of the best I have ever seen. In 83 I took my first economics class in university. The prof always harped on debt and what it would be like when the "piper was to be repaid". The corporate world figured it out, we will grow and expand we will take on bad debt, bad investments and have the taxpayer bail us out. Some system! And for the morons who say inflation isnt here I say lets disregard inflation totally as the experts that be dont want to actualize it. Money supply factored out years ago, energy and gas out years ago. My hydro bill has tripled in three short years - how does someone on a fixed income deal with this. Grocery store increase are minimal but your 750g 5 buc of cereal now costs 5.5 and is only 500g (example only not accurate). Real inflation is probably in double digits. We r in a mess economically right now and the only solution to this mess is more debt (of a sovereing kind). You have to wonder where its all going and its not science fiction its reality. Reagan used debt to wipe out the soviet union but debt is king and is now rearing its ugly head at the rest of us! Precious metals will be king but sadly I own stock and not the metals. Even the commodity exchanges are manipulated and ripped off by the capitalist who fall on sovereign debt to bail out there mistakes.
