I suppose they could let 1 mil oz of 4 gm/t sit untouched at Siou. I think they said the development costs at Siou were $12 mil. originally.
In the last five years they paid off $60 million debt and have $140 mil in the bank. They also spent years and a lot of money buying off the remaing hedges at $280 an oz.
They wrote off 2 unprofitable mines and are set with low cost mining and new discoveries.
Why would you bet on a nag instead of the Derby winner.
