RE:RE:RE:RE:The big welloh yes if it was a 1500 bbl per day well in the Viking....but its not cause that is impossible. The Viking is pounded with 10s of thousands of wells. There are no 1500 bbl per day wells to be found in this extremely mature field even with good success with a new technology.
The other things at play is a real good land base with a good plan to get to 1000 or 1200 bbls per day by the end of the year. Reasonable locations with at or above curve well results give a decent outlook. Honestly the rumor of a 1500 bbl per day well once it becomes obvious that it is not real might hurt the momentum. So I dont like that kind of stuff.
VLE was a well drilled into a Turkish basin with little or no drilling under great pressure. I dont know the play exactly but there was literally 6 wells drilled into that basin with no success so the VLE discovery was the first successful well into virgin virgin formation.
