RE:RE:Half Way to SingaporeThanks. The reality of mining is that the vast majority of projects are worthless. A handful are worth looking at, and this is one such. But among that handful, some may be found to be marginal, or risky, and require favourable assumptions to forecast an adequate return. The story the promoters tell you is an entirely different one. On the buy side, experienced analysts may differ. I tend to fall more on the conservative side, whereas some are more optimistic. Certainly, one may profit on the long side of a worthless sardine, and this is the game one must play if one wants a reasonable number of opportunities, since great deposits, which can make money in any conceivable metal price environment, come along only once in a blue moon. With a small market cap, early stage company, little information is available, so more risk may be required. But in a project like this, enough is known that one may make a reasonable judgment of the economics. It is mature from an exploration point of view, and any discovery, unless very significant, will not move the needle. So you go on Alpala, which at this point is an option on copper and gold, and maybe takeover speculation. In today's market with so many stocks down and this one holding up due to recent placee activity, relative value is not forthcoming.
